Kopernik’s work is supported by four distinct legal entities, each contributing in different ways to our overall mission:
1. Kopernik Solutions
A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation in New York State, USA (EIN: 27-0962978) with the key role of mobilizing funds and implementing projects outside of Indonesia. Funding comes from public institutions, foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
2. Yayasan Kopernik
Registered as an Indonesian Foundation (Yayasan) with the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights. It implements initiatives in Indonesia—such as experimentation and demonstration projects, CSR programs with corporate partners, and development projects with institutional donors. Funding sources include grants from public institutions, foundations, corporations, and individual donations.
3. PT Kopernik
Registered in Indonesia as a PT PMA. It delivers advisory services designed to develop innovative products or services that address the needs of people in emerging and developing markets, and is funded through revenue generated by those services.
4. Kopernik Japan
A General Incorporated Association (Shadan Hojin) in Japan. It undertakes business development for Kopernik’s advisory services, cultivates partnerships with Japanese entities to further our mission, raises philanthropic support for Yayasan Kopernik, and provides advisory services to Japanese companies, foundations, and public institutions aiming to introduce innovative practices or solutions for emerging and developing markets.
